Smoothwall to attend Practical Strategies for Safeguarding in Education Conference
Later this month Smoothwall will be attending Optimus Education’s Practical Strategies for Safeguarding in Education conference in London. The event will provide schools and trusts with proactive and informative ways to resolve safeguarding challenges whilst delivering high-quality education.
The reality is that DSLs are currently dealing with more challenges and hurdles than ever before from a variety of factors including strains on local services, changing online trends, increased workloads and meeting inspection requirements. This means that whilst being a safeguarding lead can be very rewarding, it can be hard to ensure each pupil gets the right support they need.
Date – 26th February 2019
Location – ILEC Conference Centre, 47 Lilie Road, Fulham, London, SW6 1UD
Key topics include safeguarding, mental health, DSL wellbeing, county lines and LCGBTQ+.
Speakers include Clare Erasmus, Head of School Mental Wellbeing, Joan Ryan, MP for Enfield North and Tony Saggers, Director of StraTac Logical Limited. Smoothwall’s CEO Georg Ell will also be discussing how school leaders and dedicated safeguarding staff can use digital monitoring to identify students who may be at risk.
