Smoothwall supports #AntiBullyingWeek 2016
It’s hard to believe a full year has passed since we were ‘making some noise’ for Anti-Bullying Week, but it’s that time again and in line with this years theme, this week we’re using our #powerforgood to help support and make a stand against bullying.
Coordinated by the Anti Bullying Alliance (ABA), Anti-Bullying Week shines a spotlight on bullying across the nation and encourages everyone to think about how they can use their power to stop bullying from happening and create safer environments for children and young people to grow, play and learn.
Recent research suggests 1.5 million young people (50%) have been bullied within the past year, with 145,800 (19%) of those bullied every day. It’s now so important that as a nation we come together to help raise awareness and put a STOP to bullying.
As ever at Smoothwall, we wanted to get involved in raising awareness and below have shared how we will use our #powerforgood to help support: If you are being bullied or are perhaps concerned about somebody you know being bullied, the ABA have some great tips on what to do next.
If you would like to speak to somebody you can trust for advice, call the ChildLine on 0800 11 11 or visit www.childline.org.uk.
At Smoothwall, we’re committed to making the internet a safer place for children, which is why we have developed a solution which gives schools and educational organisations all the resources they need to monitor and help protect their students from cyberbullying.
