Stop, Look and Listen this National Safeguarding Month

This National Safeguarding Month, UK Youth is calling on all organisations that work with young people to Stop what they’re doing, Look at their safeguarding practices, Listen to young people and take action by the end of March 2017!

UK Youth is the largest national body for the youth sector, supporting and working with over 830,000 young people helping them to develop the skills, belief, courage and leadership they need to gain independence.

The month hopes to put a spotlight on the welfare of young people to inspire and motivate youth organisations to create bright futures with their safeguarding policies.

Make a #StopLookListen17 pledge today and show your commitment to improving your safeguarding policies and standards, for example:

  • Pledge to spend some time during National Safeguarding Month to review your safeguarding policy and/or practice
  • Pledge to run safeguarding sessions with young people
  • Pledge to offer space on your website for free advice, guidance or signposting on safeguarding

A full list of pledges can be found by downloading UK Youth’s resource pack.
